Getting my first bike on Friday, Keeway Superlight 125cc

I know it's a Chinese make and that'll give me a few problems, but it's only until I pass the next test to get up to a 400cc, and doesn't it look just so god dam pretty?! One of the nicest looking 125's i've seen.

I've always wondered how those China made low cc knockoffs are. It looks nice, but you wont get your money back out of it. At least in my area they have a super low resale value.

Also, why don't you just wait and go for your 400cc test before you get a bike? I couldn't justify plunking down cash on a bike and then selling it as soon as I pass my test. How long do you have to wait between them anyway?

I have done this, and in the winter no less!

Where do you live? I live in Georgia so the winters aren't too cold, but if you are in the north you'd better get a car before end of fall. At speeds above 20mph, the wind bites ten times as much as it does standing still.

That being said, as long as you have waterproof boots, gloves, a full face helmet, and a rainsuit, you will be good in the rain! Rain suits can be expensive, but if you check reviews you can find some cheaper ones that work well.

You're in Australia, as long as you manage to avoid the enormous number of assholes that hate bikes on our roads you'll be fine.
