Swirling anyone?

me and my exchange student are going to use the borax method and swirl paint a few guitars. Anyone here ever done the swirling process? i have watched a bunch of the tutorial videos and think i have everything covered... just wanted to see if anyone here has done a swirl guitar paint job and if there are any issues i should watch for.
- gonna do an old teisco in Black, blue, yellow and silver
- my student will be doing an old Lyon strat in Black, silver and purple (her favorite colors)

Issues to watch for go as such...
Get the temperature of the water right. If there's bubbles, it'll show up in the finish and look ugly, unless you use insane amounts of clear.
I'm up for building you a pedal.
(Or modding nearly anything moddable)
