help with electronics

I've decided to finally start ordering some parts for upgrading my cheap strat. What I need to know is what kind of pots do I need, Do I need capacitors, and should I replace the input jack and switch?

Well, what are you ordering specifically? If you're just replacing the pickups then you can use the pots, switch and input jack you have now, although if it's a Chinese Strat, it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the pots.

Is it Squire? It depends on what you want to improve on your guitar.
