Hi.I am interested on buying an electric guitar.I never had any lessons but i used to play on my sisters classical guitar now and then.As i said im going to buy an electric guitar but since i dont know much i want your advice on a guitar with a price range to about 250~€ and 300~€ for an amp (im investing more on the amp cause they told me i should,if i want to get a good sound in the end of the day)

I mostly listen to muse and any sort of alternative band really.
I also listen metallica,nirvana etc.
Id like to be able to play any genre(from jimi hendrix to metallica)

I have always thought that squiers had the best quality low end guitars. For that price (if you are willing to guy used) you could probably find a used Classic Vibe strat or tele, or even a used made in mexico fender strat or tele.

Amp wise, I would say your best bet is to get a nice modeling amp to get an idea for the sounds you want. You seem to prefer dirty sounds so a Peavey Vypyr wouldn't be a bad option. I would recommend getting the 30 watt version or bigger, it has more features and a larger speaker that will produce a more full sound.

For a beginner, a Peavey Vypyr 30 is a good choice that you can continue to use for quite a while. 15w is okay but dementiacaptain is right on the mark...30 is a much better choice.

I also hear good things about the Roland Microcubes and Fender Mustangs. Fender SuperChamps are pretty good too. Lot's of good choices...Line 6 Spider is not one of the good choices, btw.

Actually, maybe an HSS configuration. single neck pickup for Hendrixy stuff, bridge humbucker for heavier stuff.

About the pacifica you mentioned Dave Mc,i went to the store and asked to try one but it was out of stock.I tried the Pacifica 120H with double himbuckers on a Line 6 30 watt amp but i didnt really like its sound :X.I dont know why tho it must been the amp.

I would generally recommend getting your guitar from a shop so you can feel it and see how you like it. But as you're a beginner and probably haven't formed your preferences you could afford to order a squier blind and it will do you well.

if you can find them in stores and like them, it;s still a risk to buy the guitar online, but the amp is likely to be cheaper and exactly the same if it's what you're after

some single coils like the 112 has would be useful for hendrix and the like.

the spider's probably wasn't helping the tone of the 120 you tried.
