Strymon EL Cap

I'm thinking about selling my ARDX-20 and picking up the Strymon El Capistan. Has anybody played/ owned both?

I don't know what the ARDX-20 is, but the El Cap is a great tape delay emulator. Lots of people on this board have used them. I'd like one someday. But I just have no need for it now. I say go for it.

I don't own any of those, but searching demos on Youtube I guess El Capistan's has much more variety and a better tone overall

I never cared for the ARDX-20. The El Cap definitely slays it in my opinion.

I've had an El Cap since it came out, still use it just as much and love it just as much. The Honeymoon phase never left.

I have an El Capistan. It's the best tape emulation around and has some features you'll never get with a regular tape delay.

Thanks, everyone! I'm thinking I'll get the El Cap... it should do early VH nicely!
