Is this legal?
I've written 2 songs, i don't have a band yet and i don't know how to use ableton on any of that, so i found backing tracks that work nicely with my songs, some parts will be changed, the lyrics, guitar, and bass will be completely different from the original song, but the drums will be similar. I'm getting a band together and can we play these songs, is it legal?

If someone managed to get a copyright on basic drum patterns, I will personally slap them.
It's a grey area. I wouldn't say illegal (or at the very least, it wouldn't hold up in court), but morally, it might be a bit sketchy. Still, "nothing new under the sun" and all that.
