that is pretty sick. at first i thought it was a regular killswitch. wouldn't have guessed that one side was the wet delayed signal.

I have been trying to think of how to do that as a standard pedal, but you really can't tap that quickly with your feet.

Now, loading those electronics into a guitar with a robust switch of some kind...

Might be able to do something similar with a Kaoss pad.

great. my ideal delay, and it costs $400 to import.

Can anybody recommend a small isolated power supply I can use for the small pedalboard I'm building? I'll have about 5 pedals on it maximum including a tuner but the main concern is my EHX Cathedral Reverb which is an amazing pedal but it's so power hungry and therefore noisy. The obvious choice for me is a T Rex Fuel Tank Junior but they're just so expensive at £90.

Any good alternatives? If not I'll have to get one as you really do get what you pay for.

If you want a good quality isolated unit, you do have to pay a premium. CIOKS offers a PSU that will power your pedals, but again, it's pricey. Remember, it's usually a one-off payment. They are 100% worth it. They're not 'fun', like pedals are, but they are necessary if you want silence, portability, and quality.

Yeah that's what I've come to realise - it's like anything really you do have to pay for quality.

Thanks for the advice.

Pretty much. I'd recommend CIOKS over T-Rex. I'd trust them over the other, even if the price is a little more. They are about as good as it gets for power supplies.

^ Yeah I'd be a bit iffy about the t-rex supplies for that kind of money. I know some of them aren't even isolated (and are pretty dear considering that), I'd probably (if I were going to that money) just bite the bullet and get voodoo labs or something like that which is known to be the industry standard (I haven't tried it, but it has a good rep). The smaller voodoo labs one shouldn't be that much more.

thomann power plant junior is allegedly a clone of the fuel tank junior.

I had a couple that were faulty but thomann sent me new ones without having to send the old one back. granted, it depends on how able you are to cope with something being faulty- if it goes wrong in the middle of a gig, having a pretty generous "don't even have to send it back" return policy will be of scant consolation.

I bought a Strymon Flint the other day and it's pretty rad. I can't believe how amp-like the tremolo side is. This pedal actually replaced my Hall of Fame and I don't think I'll miss it. If anyone wants to buy my HoF, I'd like $110 USD shipped.

I also bought an Abominable Electronics Hellmouth that hasn't come in yet, but I'm stoked on it. It's handpainted. I'll post pics.

And then I had to buy a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ because I was getting too much excess noise using my MXR Brick and two wallwarts...

That's cool. I'm thinking about getting the Flint even with that price tag.
Did you go new?
