Improvisation help needed

Im playing a piece for a music exam this thursday and I still haven't worked out a solo for the piece. Here's a video of someone else playing it... (solo starts at about 2:00)

What scales and techniques should I use to get a good grade from it? Doesn't have to be anything to complicated

Just follow the chords with the minor pentatonic scale. A, C and D minor pentatonic.

D major pentatonic will also sound good over the D chord.

Good advice from MDC; that's how the majority of our first solos are born. The right way to go for a music exam; apply some real world theory.

Thank you for sharing your video btw
