I'll definitely check it out nick ^

Also the riot sounds like a mad pedal! Only problem is in Australia it's all over $200. Ebay only has them from the USA at $190 not including postage.

Can anyone find me somewhere with a good deal?

Cheers.

I played a few crubchboxes and liked them. Very nice pedals. I am not the biggest fan of dirt boxes but I was fairly pleased with the crunchbox.

for distortion I use a Visualsound Jekyll and Hyde. comes with the overdrive so thats nice. I really like it but if you're looking for a fuzz pedal thats not it.

I've got the same amp as you and do go for similar tones, I tend to use my electro harmonix lpb-1 clean boost to boost my amp to the sort of Green Day tone you want, and I even play some heavier stuff e.g The Blackout with the amp cranked and the boost just over half. Although I also have a Turbo Rat when I want to go for a slightly less voxy sound e.g Lower Than Atlantis (although this also sounds great with the amp cranked and increasing the treble) and I think this will definitely get you into Guns n' Roses territory if you have the filter just below half, distortion just above half and the volume just below half, then set the amp on the top boost channel with the treble just over half, the bass just below half and the channel volume at around 3/4, with the master and reverb set how you like it.

Not sure if I can stretch to buy it though. That's why I've been looking hard at the crunchbox.

The Pi cct in the Muff is what distinguishes it from a conventional fuzz. It smoothes off the knee and a sharp knee is what fuzz is all about. So it's a civilised fuzz - is that a contradiction in terms? You decide, I don't care.
