I got rid of my previous 120w Peavey valve amp and 4x12" because even with the volume control on the bare minimum setting it needed to produce a sound, it was so loud the neighbours were complaining.

That was when I was living in a detatched house, I should point out.

There are limits to how quiet these things can be. Typically you either can't get a big amp quiet enough, or you can but it sounds so bad or is so quiet that you might as well just play unplugged.

My neighbours haven't complained about my amp yet, but I've had some compliments on my playing :3

One of them moaned about me playing my drumkit though. So I've stopped playing for a bit.
