Nothing gets me pissed more than people selling guitars for the same price or more than they're worth new. The Saskatoon kijiji is ridiculous. I could literally pull up dozens of links to shit like "Marshall MG30 watt $300".

The pawn shops here are even worse. Saw a Les Paul Studio w/EMGs for $1999 lol.

I've been to a few Long n Mcquades selling complete lemons too. It's a dangerous market for the undiscerning buyer. Lots of a rip offs

^ Yeah. That's what annoys me- when people say they can charge what they like, or that it's bad form to say that a deal is too dear, or whatever. Fair enough if they're upfront and totally honest about the deal, of course they can- but normally they aren't. And if I'm going to err on anyone's side, it'll be the side of the prospective buyer who might get ripped off.

I didn't realize Stone had discontinued their Pale and Ruination... Apparently they're releasing "2.0" versions of both soon though.

EDIT: And they've permanently discontinued Levitation and (!) Sublimely Self-Righteous.

Yeah, but moving costs money.

Yup! Will also be able to get new rules announcements up in EG and GG&A when I get around to it. They're painfully old.

Interesting. Good to know. Yeah - it def needs an update. I always wondered about that. I guess I just assumed they were done by a person (Xifr?) and no one dared to challenge them or ask to have it updated.

Edit: Yeah. xifr

Malaysian GP is looking like it could be a somewhat interesting race, especially after the boring Australian GP from two weeks ago.

dementiacaptian - Hope you didn't take what I said wrong in that Bugera thread. All I was trying to say is that it seems that most of the people that who buy Bugera high gain amps are younger people with lower'ish budgets and less experience. The low price point sucks them in and then they are clueless when it breaks.

That's not you obviously.

Sometimes I should think a bit more before spouting off. Sorry if that offended you. I just reread it after being away for awhile.

This race is way better than Australia. Mercedes looks to have totally screwed themselves trying to go for two pits.

Much better race than Melbourne. Will have to see if this was just down to Mercedes screwing up so bad with their tire strategy, or if Ferrari is really going to be competitive this season, but I might wind up grabbing tickets to the USGP this year.

Thanks Wasn't too bad, I reckon I get fairly mild ones because paracetamol generally works (though I normally have to take a couple of doses and have to take the ones with caffeine in them to make it work ) and I think people with really bad ones need special medicine.

yeah I saw the thread about the hambuckers

lots of rules about not posting big pics because of dial up?

though i guess with the spoiler tags now you could just put that in the rules.

Don't sweat dude I knew what you meant and I agree. When my budget was low and I was a "gear beginner" I bought a Bugera (a used one, to boot) for that exact reason.

Of course I went in knowing the risk (thanks to the forums) and got lucky, only having the issue with the plastic clip melting. I think the important is to make sure people know the risk, if they still choose to buy the amp at least they aren't caught off guard if it pops.
