Naw, it's odd.

I begrudgingly think this is pretty good:

Begrudgingly because of the whole We Stand Redeemed thing and the fact that they're studio only, which I think is kinda lame. Really spacey stuff though, and I still like their sense of melody. It's distinct, if only because it sounds like a really good rip-off of The Contortionist.

The whole We Stand Redeemed thing?

And them as a studio band makes sense, they seem to have some very talented producers of random media, but I've never heard anyone say they were great live.

Edit: Yeah I can dig it... the production is better than intrinsic too.

Just google WSR, it's not worth talking about here. Also, new Substructure rules, and it's only the bassist, Will.

I loved how in the press release they put out trying to cover their asses, they deliberately mentioned "... the secular band Slice the Cake..." haha.

Gareth's got more spirituality in his left pinkie than most Christcore bands have in their entire souls lolz.

Not, like, a REAL thing. Just a vaguely condescending term to describe bands signed to Rise who aren't The Acacia Strain.
