Brandon McCarthy reportedly to the Dodgers in a 4 year deal.

And apparently they traded Heaney, who they just got from Miami to LAA for Howie Kendrick. STOP MAKING MOVES DODGERS

The Dodgers are actually going to be a consistently scary team from now on. They have a ridiculous budget, and now they actually have a FO that isn't completely fking stupid.

Don Mattingly will still keep them from winning the WS while he's there though.

Mat Latos to the Marlins for Anthony DeSclafani and Chad Wallach.

I'm thrilled by this, we gave up basically nothing of value. Latos only has one year left, but hopefully we can get him to sign an extension.

Our starting rotation is looking great: Fernandez, Alvarez, Eovaldi, Latos, Cosart. Koehler is a servicable starter until Fernandez is ready to go.

Now just to find a first baseman (rumors of Morneau?)

This is insane, I can't remember a stretch of offseason where there was this much activity. It seemed like every time I checked my phone today I had an update that someone had been traded or signed!

I went to the MLB.com fourms to see what kind of talk is going on over there since our baseball thread is so dead. Their 2014-15 off season thread has 163 posts. I'm pretty sure our thread beats that.

Michael Morse signed with the Marlins for 2/$8 million plus incentives. That's bargain basement pricing. I am sad today.

I wouldn't doubt it, considering how close they were this year. The AAA's really are gonna be AAA talent this year.

Also, the Dodgers DFAd Brian Wilson today. I have mixed feelings. He's super gross now, and obviously a Dodger, but he was a good Giant.

That's a bargain, especially if they play him at first.

Wil Myers to San Diego. Rays net five players between San Diego and Washington, San Diego also gets two prospects and Ryan Hanigan, Nationals get two prospects.

Apparently the details were misreported. The finalized deal is 2/$16 million. Still a really good value for a player like Morse. He should also stay a lot healthier at first.

The Marlins lineup will be pretty dangerous.

Giants signed Romo for 2/$15.

Glad he's back. He had a really bad season last year, but he's a great relief pitcher, and if he can bounce back it'll be worth it. That's a lot of money too.
