Slowbro is coo, Tentacruel is... there

Seems like I always have a set Water type for Gen 1. Gyarados for Charizard, Vaporeon for Venusaur, Blastoise for Blastoise

Not Gen 1, but Octillery is dope. Ludicolo is my favorite water type though.

I always thought Tenta looked cool, and it had amazing stats in Gen I: 80hp, 120 special, 100 speed, 65 defense + barrier

Tentacruel is reliable competitively, but ingame no thanks. Tons of more interesting water types.

I've always found Slowbro to be pretty meh, even thought Psychic/Water should be a kickass combo. I used a Tentacruel in a Poison monotype run once. Gave me a newfound respect for it. "Oh, what's that? You're using a grass type against my water Pokemon? HAVE SOME ACID IN YA FACE!"

From Pokemon Colosseum, who used 4 of them in battle. It didn't help that this was his theme music....

Use a Ludicolo. Maybe it helps that I'm such a weird person, but I seriously love them so much. I was skeptical too, and they're kind of hard to get due to shortage of water stones in R/S/E, but I used one on my last Sapphire run and he destroyed. Severely underrated pokemon.
