....DAMN .... After some googling it looks like this is not possible on the POD, unless using a dual amp (toggling one for the other), but that sounds like a dsp resource hog of an idea.

Couldn't you simply stick the one or two FX for which this is important (the delay, for example) into the signal chain and use them with your current multi-FX? It wouldn't have to be one OR the other.

Just one thing to think about - those pedals probably won't sell for the prices that you listed. So, I'd keep the pedals .
