Pinky Hammer Ons

Ok, so I've ran into some problems hammering on with my pinky. My hands are small, so that means my pinky is tiny. Whenever I try to hammer on, it's just a weak little thud hding from the other strings playing. Will this problem go away with practice? I can hammer on fine with any other finger though.

Yes, the problem will go with practice. Try this horrible sounding excercise

e|-5h6p5h6p5h6p5--6h7p6h7p6h7p6--7h8p7h8p7h8p7--8h9p8h9p8h9p8--

Use your first finger for 5th fret, second for 6th, ring for 7th & pinky for 8th.

Hurts like a bitch & sounds horrible but it really does help develop your pinky strength.

Also do this:

e|--5h8p5h8p5h8p5--

Edit: My hands are tiny, fingers stubby & fat but I manage fine. Just takes practice.
