How can I make this tutorial better?

If this is against the rules let me know and I'll remove it.

I've decided that I want to make tutorial videos on youtube since I'm not playing in a band or live anymore. But, I don't really know how to explain things clearly.

Does this video seem to get the point across?
Like, do I explain the lick clearly enough?

I feel like I ramble.

What can I do to make things better?
Are tabs a necessity for learning or is the video suffice?

Any help would be awesome,

I think that since this is pretty much advanced technique you shouldn't explain every note and note, people who are skilled enough to play this should be able to pick up the notes without too much explanation......

Nice lesson

I guess that'd make sense.

But, I'd want to make it so someone not as skilled could learn it.

Would it be better to not go through it note for note and just include a tab?
I'd play it fast than slow than fast I guess.

I think you should explain the basic theory behind what you're teaching, then play it fast and after that slow, and put a tab just incase.

Oh btw, i saw that slap guitar vid of yours, could you maybe upload that in better quality?
(Maybe even do some slap guitar tutorials, i myself would be interested in that)

I just "threw it up" with my web cam.
I tried to make a video of it before and I have to record direct to get it to sound right and I don't have the software to record and line the video up.

I'll try and see if I can make one tomorrow after work.

I already learned loads from it, loving the 7/8 feels. Cheers.

Is there anything that would of made it easier?
Would better production help?

Sounded fine on my end, nice clear and uncrackly tone, perhaps less reverb/delay next time. One thing would be to have a close up of your exact hand/finger positions, I had a little trouble seeing how you were tapping with the right hand for the first shape/position. Also include a tab at the end, for good measure. Very solid lesson btw, you made pentatonics sound magical again.
