Does anyone else get super pumped when one of their lifting days comes up? Its MWF for me, but on Tuesdays and Thursdays I just get excited for tomorrow because then I can go lift.

Also, don't buy Body Fortress Whey with Crystalline Taurine; Shit tastes terrible by the end of 2 pounds and tastes like plastic if you fully mix it.

i go every day now so its not something thats easy to get pumped for lol.
especially when i aim to hit atleast a 225lbs backsquat every single day, and clean around 185lbs. give it a year at least and you'll understand that injury becomes a very real concern once you are really able to push yourself.

Yeah I haven't been pumped for the gym in awhile because I'm fighting off some borderline injuries.

Up to 175lbs on 5x5 Bench, so that's body weight. Next week I'm trying 185lbs. Pretty pumped about that, if I can get to 185lbs, I've gained 50lbs on press in 5 weeks thanks to SL.

My squats have recovered, I did a pyramid 5x5 today, should be able to get up to 175lbs on Monday.

If I can 5x5 bench 185lbs, any estimate on my max rep? I started at 135lbs 5x5 bench with a RM of 225lbs, so I'm guessing I'm up to at least 250lbs max rep. But before I start testing, I'd like to get up to 225lbs on 5x5.

I've got quite a bit of bench experience, only now started squatting.

Assuming no more injury, I scale the weight up by 20lbs each week on Squat so it should quickly go over my bench weight.

Did the Arnold today:

5x Dumbbell flat press
5x Dumbbell incline press
5x Resistance band flies
5x Dumbbell flies

5x Resistance band rows
5x Bows with a 10lbs medicine ball
5x Resistance band pull downs
5x Shrugs

Superset everything together, back n chest.

Does anyone here buy pure protein powder isolate? Like +80% Protein? I'm considering buying 10lbs of 80% isolate but don't know how well it would mix with anything, or if I could even drink it straight with water if I manned up.

I bought 10 lbs of unflavored WPC. It's super disgusting with just water or milk. Mixing in bananas, peanut butter, etc makes it manageable, but it still doesn't taste great as a shake. I mix it into orange juice for a intra-workout drink, I put it in pancake batter, and I just recently put it in some pudding for protein pudding. I know a lot of people will mix it half and half with flavored protein to keep the flavor put bring the price of their protein down.

I've got some, but as Chaz pointed out in an earlier post I'm paying too much for it., so I wouldn't recommend the brand I've been using, at least price wise.

I've mixed it with a number of things in order of success:

2% Milk (best)
Apple/orange juice (ok)
Water (eh)
Plain greek yogurt (combining one pure unflavored substance with another pure, unflavored substance made an even worse tasting concoction then what they taste like by themselves)
Cranberry juice (could barely finish it)

That's about all I've tried. I'm not particularly adventurous with my whey.

I'm thinking about just chugging it half mixed with water, but I have no idea what it tastes like plain. I think I could get through it, but I'd have to order some. I think I'll get some anyway because the Cytosport Muscle Milk I have now tastes so delicious, that I could probably mix it half and half and not taste a difference.
