Exactly. Though a few other brands use custom tuned V30s, though they usually call them something different. Bad Cat and Matchless in particular. The Matchless ones are tuned much closer to a Greenback mixed with an Alnico Blue than a typical V30 though, and it would be tough to see the similarities side by side. Not sure about the Bad Cat version.

I have been told by several people they are the same.(Most were store employee's). So I always took it as the truth. But I apreciate the link and examples, very helpful

There is a lot of V30 folklore out there, and it can get confusing. I love these speakers, so I've learned as much about them as possible over the years.
Maybe you can use this info to inform someone else down the road.

Yeah I seem to be the goto gear head in my area right now. Just about every band in a 25 mile radius comes to me with guitar and gear related issues/questions, even the drummers ask my advice and I can't play drums to save my life

I guess I'm that old crusty guy now
