First riff I learned was Ogre Battle by Queen.
First song I learned in its etirety was Blinded By Fear by At The Gates.
I also learned Number Of The Beast early on.

First full song I learned 100% was

Time Consumer, by Coheed and Cambria

But before that I really picked up the guitar to learn the intro riffs of

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, by Coheed
and Water Under the Bridge, by The Wedding

^^ epicness incarnate

believe it or not, i spent like a month only learning how to fingerpick and decided to learn this ridiculously difficult song and after learning it (which took me an awful amount of time) i heard about a riff everyone was learning on guitar from a song called "come as you are"

haha you can pretty much imagine my reaction when i saw the riff......
There is a very thin line between an artist... and a serial killer

First Riff - Iron Man - Black Sabbath

First Song - Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

I never even really liked Nirvana but I heard it was easy.

bringing this one back!!

Seems like almost everyone's first was a Nirvana song. That wasn't the case for me, my first was "seven nation army" by white stripes

The first thing I ever put together was the opening riff to barracuda by heart. First full song would be "what your doing" by rush.

Maryland Deathfest XII
