Catchy prog rock/metal

I havent really seen much posting here in a while, so i figured id liven it up a little with what ive been working on today. hope you guys enjoy what i have so far of this upbeat prog rock/metal song; its not complete yet

oh i definitely plan on it! btw, would you consider this more prog rock or prog metal? its sound is so light that im not sure lol

if i had to classify it, id lean towards prog rock, but hey who cares? its music, and its pretty sweet lol

It somehow reminds me of some Cynic parts, yeah, definitely more metal than rock, good, it has potential.

honestly my influence for this was Chon. theyre some of my favorite guitarists/musicians

Edit: btw i looked up Cynic, and they sound pretty cool

Going good so far man, sounds really smooth swapping time signatures. I like the chords you're using, they're similar to what I like using hah. The beats really cool as well, definitely liked the feel of it.

I can imagine a kinda chordal section coming up next. I'm interesting to see how you carry it on. Sorry don't know what else to say as there isn't much to it yet. Keep it up mate.

i was originally planning on having a chordal section after, but between the bridge and clean groove, i figured there were too many chordal riffs in a row

i have added to it since i uploaded it. im thinking of ending it shortly after the last riff. tell me if you guys think it should go on longer, or if i should stick with ending it in the next riff or two
