Is Blacktop Worth the money?
I've got some nice budget (about $800) and I've been planning to buy some higher quality guitar. I'm looking for mainly versatile guitar (for genres like psychodelic, prog, blues, metal, Buckethead) and I DO care about the look.
I've done some research and found that Fender Blacktop Strat could be the thing I am looking for. I live in Bosnia (southern Europe), and here the Blacktop's price is about $700, is it worth the money? If not, what guitar would you recommend?

Wow, that's a price jump!
What is it you like about the Blacktop? Perhaps we can find you something roughly equivalent for a bit less? Also, what are the used options like where you are (if you're willing or go used, that is)?

I like it because it has the "fendery" sound while the humbuckers still sound thick and powerful in the same time; I love the contrast between the black-colored body and much brighter neck; I like the Fender logo. he.he.
The neck is also narrow, it makes the playing easier compared to my Washburn WI64... I'm primarily interested in new guitars.

Well, if you want a Fender because its a Fender, you want to buy a Fender because nothing else will do and you'll end up spending more money if you start off with a different guitar.
If you want something LIKE the Blacktop Strat, there are plenty of quality Strat-shaped guitars with HH, HSS and other pickup configurations, like G&L or Godin. Pricing may vary- sometimes cheaper, sometimes pricier than similar Fenders. The thing is, unless you can buy off the Internet, I can't help you much more since I don't know what is available where you live.
