Since I'm such a terrible, untalented songwriter, should I just kill myself?

Seems rational.
I don't know what music theory is.

Soundcloud. Look at it. Or don't.

I guess we're supposed to say "there, there, it's not that bad," or something like that.

If that's a legitimate question and you're actually considering killing yourself (can never be too careful), then no. You shouldn't kill yourself. However, if you're just looking for validation of your song writing skills, then I'd say that you're doing okay (especially for someone who's only 15 or so), but there's still a lot of improvements to be made. The piece lacked a fluid melody, and sounded like you just set out to write counterpoint with no real knowledge of the rules of counterpoint. It still achieved a decent effect, of course, and if you were simply trying to make background music for a scary video game or something of the sort, it wasn't half bad. If you want something like this to stand on its own, however, there needs to be a more coherent melody for people to latch onto. Try studying the rules of 1st through 5th species counterpoint and practicing a bunch of part writing exercises. It'll definitely improve your song writing, especially if this is the sort of music you enjoy making.

No don't kill yourself! Kill a bunch of innocents! That' s the American way!

Seriously, it is likable. Do you have a melody yet?

I wouldn't think so. Everybody can improve with hard work.
And no, Guitar Hero will not help. Even on expert. Really.

There should be a poll with options "yes" and "no."

But seriously fix your attitude. If you think the song sucks, don't post it here. When you have written something you don't like, at least you know what you don't like and won't make the same mistakes again. It's not the end of the world if the song you wrote when you were 15 years old wasn't that good. At least you can have a good laugh when you are older and listen to the song and think how bad your songs were. I don't think the song was necessarily bad but I didn't enjoy it at all. It had that kind of creepy feeling (because of the sounds and random melodies) and it made me want to turn it off. If you want to appeal to people, write something with catchy enough melodies and structure. And record it with good sounds.

Tdvv: If you want criticism on your original songs there is a forum for that purpose. If you would like to discuss a particular aspect within your song that you are having trouble or want to improve then you can pinpoint that aspect of the song and dicuss/ask for help on that point.

Also please see the PM I am sending you now.
