I also have this problem with my 2012 PRS. I'm an electronics noob at best, and am unsure about which wire the ground is. I'd re-solder it myself, but I don't know which connection to re-solder.

I just got my PRS back from the guitar repair guy! Most of the electronic noise is gone now... BUT still something there, he told me it would be almost impossible to remove all the noise from the guitar, because of the way the pickups were wired... They were wired as single coil pickups so the humcancelling effect of the humbuckers weren't there. He told me

I might be able to reupload some pictures of the electronic cavity again sometime soon, so you can see what have been done !


AWACS, does the noise disappear when you touch the strings or any other metal part of your guitar?

Yeah, it does. I'm pretty sure its a grounding issue, I just don't know where to start with the wires and all that.

i suspected a grounding issue at the beginning aswell... BUT if the buzzing stops when u touch the guitar the ground should be okay i think?
