star photos were a complete bust, but I went to the Clipsal 500 today and got a decent number of good shots. Here's the first one and my favourite, I'll upload more another day.

Haven't posted here in ages, but I've got my first exhibition tomorrow. Got a plan for the main wall as well as a couple of other shots on A0. And it's right in the town center (in the town hall), so it'll get a lot of views if only passing ones.

yep, 'straya mate

I'd almost prefer a few clouds to make it look a bit more real haha, so stoked with how it turned out though, glad you like it.

was in the Hahndorf wine region here in SA over the weekend. Only took like a dozen photos which was less than I should have really, but had a crack at a panorama and something a bit of an abstract.

Dave, I really like the last one with the two beds, the composition is really nice with the window in the middle, a window into the light.

So, I went out photographing... and after a while trying to find pretty flowers, I enden up taking photos of stuff between the tiles. It almost looks like tiny oasises in a tile-desert... Remmeber the funny stuff might not be where you are looking most :P

Also, here two more macro photos:

Could someone here please give me some tips on taking good scenic shots with my phone?

Example, should there be a difference between iso settings if, for example, the sun is behind me? Or in front or side? How should I use the exposure value properly? And in regards to focusing and using the apps grids?

And also, what would you guys reckon is the most powerful phone camera app? Not the most feature full, but if there' one which just makes the most out of the phone's camera?

I can imagine that a lot of people in here are more professionl photographers, and maybe don't agree much with phone cameras.

But please take note, I'm not getting in to professional photography as of yet, it's just that I'm enjoying taking pictures, and I get too see some really nice scenes while at work, so I figured I'd make the most out of my phone (8 mp xperia), if that makes sense.

it's a phone so you're not gonna get optimal results

iso should be as low as possible

look up the rule of thirds and try to implement it, keep horizons horizontal and verticals vertical

make sure the lens is clean

I bought a quad copter, It has a gimbal with tilt as well. I'm getting a lot of great vid, have to do some stills today. It uses a Gopro, here's a screen grab.
