So Jenrry Mejia is permanently suspended after testing positive for a third PED.

While serving a suspension for testing positive for a second time, which happened shortly after he finished serving a suspension for testing positive the first time. That's a special kind of stupid

EDIT: It's a shame though, he had the potential to be a pretty good reliever.

April is gonna be fun, because I'll still have false hope that we can be decent this year. May will be a shame.

It's going to be a tough year to be part of the #brewcrew.

It was nice when I could talk shit to my friends about how the Brewers sucked, but now that the Phillies and the Brewers are so god awful it's just sad to even talk about them lol

Maikel Franco has 7 homeruns in 37 at bats.

This could be a fun year.

I hope they actually play some of these young prospects. They'll still be bad/average, but at least it will be more fun. I fucking hate how this team keep young guys trapped in the minors until their mid 20s

I wanna see Crawford, Nola, Williams, Johnson, and Alfaro actually play a little. Crawford is gonna be good

Fantasy baseball draft this week. I always go pitcher heavy. Is this the year I try to win with RBI's and Steals?

I know absolutely nothing about the Phillies' prospects. Could these guys make enough of an impact in the next few years to compete in the East?

Today is the first time I sat down to watch the Mets this preseason and Gary, Keith, and Ron aren't in the booth

Yea, I think so. I'm know I'm being optimistic, but it's EASILY the best group of prospects we've had since the Utley, Hamels, Howard years. Not that that's saying much

I like what I saw from Nola last year. Franco was competing for the NL ROTY until he got injured and everyone is saying how improved he looks this year. J.P. Crawford SS and Nick Williams OF will most likely be brought up sometime early in the season, maybe earlier depending on injuries. And Crawford is ranked as the 5th or 6th highest prospect in the league. Roman Quinn is another highly rated OF prospect.

Franklyn Kilome and Jake Thompson are pretty good pitching prospects. Kilome is only 19 though I think, so who knows when we'll see him. And we had the first pick in the draft this year I think.

Also I'm excited because we only have two player under contract through next season (They'll buy Howard out after this year). If some of these guys work out we could easily afford to sign them and a fairly big free agent or two.

I have no hopes of us being very competitive this year, but I think we could be competing in the East sooner rather than later. Also now that the baseball black hole of Rubin Amaro Jr is gone we finally have a analytics department. You know, almost a decade after the rest of the league. It's amazing how we relieved him of his duties last year, hired some analytics guys, and within 3 trades we have a top 5 ranked farm system in the league (I think we were like 28th before last season)

It feels good to be somewhat excited to watch the Phils again. I dunno if we'll be much better than the last two seasons, but at least it seems like we're on the rise from our decent into hell, lol

I think we could make it above 500 this year. Rupp is having a great spring too

If I can get another three or four people in on this I'd set it up and draft asap.
