Yeah, definitely. I also really liked the Spirited Away influence. Am I the only one who spotted green No-Face?

I don't know. I feel like the show creators are just like "well, instead of operating within our system we'll just add new shit that doesn't really have any relevance to anything because we couldn't think of anything better to do". It's like when they release some trading card expansion or something. Shit gets all topsy-turvy and they just throw all of the rules out the window on a whim. It's like absolutely nothing in this book makes any sense.

If they are gonna do something that doesn't make sense, why not Korra + Asami?

The second half of this season was great, a big improvement from everything pre-Wan. I think they're signed on for two more seasons, and I can't wait to see where things go from here.

I thought the season 2 finale was really good. Definitely better than last season's finale and its pacing problems. Everything flowed right and was emotionally intense when it needed to be.

I had a couple gripes with some things I thought were lazy writing though. Tenzin all of a sudden mentioning the Tree of Time and it's importance had no real buildup through the season (aside from a casual mention in the library by Jinora that I completely missed until someone mentioned it to me) felt like too convenient of a solution.
And then there was Jinora's role in the giant fight between Unalok and Korra. No explanation of what exactly she did, nor why she was able to do it. Felt like a deus ex machina ala Aang teaching Korra energybending in the last minutes of last season. Maybe they'll explain it next season, but it still felt lazy to me.

Overall, I liked it despite these flaws. Good season, and looking forward to the next one.

This was the entirety of book 2 though.
