The most important things you need to consider: tone and playability.
Don't buy based on looks, reviews or popularity.
Go to the guitar shop and play dozens. Go to other shops and do the same thing.
If you do not love it...hang it back up and move on.

Basically, love it or leave it. You don't want to be stuck with an instrument that does not move you

So... I ended up buying Johnny Marr signature Jag from my mate. He ordered it online and when it came he didn't like it at all. He sold it to me for 10'500 SEK/1600 USD/1200 Euro which is roughly 40% cheaper than buying a new one.

I've only had it for 2 days, but I love everything about it. JaguMarr has a chunkier neck then most other Jaguars which I really like and the switching/bridge changes are super neat. The pickups sound great both clean and dirty. Johnny did a really nice job with his signature model

Great deal! Now you need to make a NGD thread to go with it- plenty of pix, please!

Sorry for reviving a dead thread but I actually ended up trading it in for a Rickenbacker 330. The JM Jag is a masterpiece but after playing it for awhile I understood that Jag-shape is really not my cuppa'.

The Rick on the other hand is perfect for me! Thanks for all the advice!
