If you've ordered a round of fancy cocktails that they've had to spend 10 minutes making then yeah, I'll throw in a tip, but otherwise fark that. Drinks in Australia aren't that cheap usually and wages at bars are pretty decent. Also since tipping isn't really a part of Australian culture, no one goes out of their way to earn a tip so service is pretty meh mostly.

Yeah, even in the UK I could possibly conceive of tipping if I knew I was going to be some form of regular, though then I'd start to find it weird if the bartender knew me because it'd be like just giving a gift to a mate.

False. Shitty alcohol is cheap. Well drinks are cheap. You pay for your standards when you drink.

I would tip if I was in America and they would probably do very well off me the more drunk I got.

However here they should be happy they have a wage.

I don't know anyone who tips in pubs here, and having worked at a bar I don't ever recall being tipped. I think it'd be kind of odd.

Depends on the price of the drink. If it's 5$ or more for a beer don't expect a tip.

Tipping isn't a thing here except in certain very specific situations

And since most drinks are $7 or more, nope.

I usually tip a few bucks after having some pitcher with my friends. So she probably gets a good 10 bucks from all of us together. I used to not tip, but we always go to the same spot so it would be awkward if we didn't. If I go to a new place, or just so random shit bar, I won't tip at all. Beer is ****ing expensive in Ontario, a tip coming from me is really an act of generosity towards the bar tender and nothing else. I'm not gonna start throwing my spare change all over the place for an 8$ glass of cheap beer that you could easily get for 3$ in Quebec.

****in' Ontario communist capital state owned ****ery is what the LCBO is.
