Well if thats the case, don't throw out blanket statements when you have only played 2.
Gibsons are high quality and they are notorius for bad set-ups from the factory, this is often confused with QC, but is completely diffrent

Played several Gibson studios and even owned one in worn cherry. I preferred my Elitist to all of them. Hop over to MLP forums, there are people who own both and will tell you the same. They are better guitars and a far better value.

Try a load of Gibson Studios, they can vary in quality. Get a good one and it can rival a standard.
