Hello all!
I've been playing for almost 4 years now and I want to buy my second guitar.
I had a squier Stratocaster before but I sold it because I'm looking for a guitar with dual humbuckers.
I'm on a pretty low budget , around 250$.
I like to play hard rock and metal.
And I'm not in the situation to increase my budget, maybe by 50$ max.(so please no 'save up, and get a better guitar' suggestions :p
Should I get the esp ltd ec 50 or the yamaha pacifica 120sj?

Ibanez gio. Seriously for a "cheap budget guitar," the thing is badass and plays very well. I got mine used for $100 but I knew the kid so I might have gotten a deal. Mine was a gax70 I'm not even sure if they still make them though but there are a lot on the used market, at least around here. Also, the yamaha pacifica's have a good rep around here but the low end ltd's do not.

I just got a Yamaha Pacifica 112M ( I traded a Boss DS1 for it) and as my first Yamaha guitar I have to say its really nice. Sounds good and a fast smooth neck. Don't know how much to buy one but I would recommend it.

Look for second hand guitars or higher quality, otherwise, the yamaha should be solid.

Pacifica or used. the pacifica is pretty solid for the price, so I don't see any reason to avoid it.

that being said, you'll get way more guitar for your dollar if you're willing to go used.

might be able to get a used Made in Mexico Fender Strat for $275ish. They are great guitars and can be found in that range, they usually go on craigslist for around $300 but i have seen a few a little cheaper.

Hi,do you think the pacifica is worth buying and upgrading later on? I mean,for a low end guitar,the wood used doesn't make a big difference right?
