Someone here in Kansas City is trying to sell an original 1950 Broadcaster on Craigslist. I messaged them to see if it was a real posting and it is. It would be a swell addition to my '53 Telecaster, but I don't have the funds for another collectors piece. If anyone here is interested check out Kansas City Craigslist.

Just found out today that US Masters has apparently folded.

However, I found this beauty on eBay:

I´m looking to buy a Telecaster but there are so many models to choose from so I am a bit confused. Its going to complement my SG so I don't want any humbuckers, only single coils.

Should I buy an American model if I can afford one or is a Classic Player Baja more than good enough? Or is an American Special better?

What about the American Deluxe that has compound radius is that going to make a huge difference to playing/bending?

Which do y'all think is a better guitar, the American Deluxe Thinline Tele or the American Select

Thinline? I'm looking into buying either one.

The Baja is a good guitar, make no mistake. But G&L's ASATs are regarded as somewhat of an improvement on the classic...designed by the guy who created the classic in the first place.

Plus, those two I linked to are both used models, so while they're in the same general price range as the Baja, you're actually looking at higher quality instruments to start off with. New, an ASAT Classic runs @$1300.

The orange one is sold. The white one has "pickups upgraded to Fender American Vintage 52 Telecaster Reissue". How good are these pickups, especially for Rock, compared to Baja stock pickups?

Also, how does it compare to these?

Alas, I don't know Fender's pickups well enough to give you an answer. Those two you linked to look like good deals to me, although you also might want to ask in the G&L thread.

I've got both in the store I work in. I personally think the Select plays circles around the thinline. They're very different feels, however.

My mim tele is my favorite even though I own guitars that sell for double or triple that. My next electric guitar purchase will probably be ...... a better telecaster.

BTW, did anybody take advantage of the G&L Tribute ASAT Deluxe Carved Top Tele for $300 at GC in January?

Soo-prahz, soo-prahz, soo-prahz! I don't know when they did this, but Carvin has added 2 Teleclone 7-strings to their product line.
