Transformers are the kicker. Crap trafos will be the weak link for tone and feel, all other things remaining equal.

Yeah, it is hard to tell if I like it because I am not a big 7 string fan, but it sounded alright I suppose. I had a lot of hope for the Boogie clones, but this doesn't really give me enough to go on.

Do you have any schematics of this? I gotta have this, seriously, I have a fetish for weird sounds haha. Are you having a tremolo effect on? This would sound cool looped with a delay effect on.

Here's my demo of a Proco Rat Distortion pedal. Me and my dad built it, me doing the wiring and him doing the enclosure. It's a distortion pedal and I run through most of it's settings in the demo.
