Waging War - Melodic Death, revisited. Guitar Pro/MIDI

Well, long story short.. when I lived in England I had a band and wrote this song.

Over the past couple of weeks I've been rewriting it as I lost all GP files of it, and I wrote it up as I remembered. Anyways, today I've altered a fair bit and thought I'd chuck it up here to see what you guys think.

I had it up on this site when I originally wrote it (2007/08, how time flies, eh?) and it got a decent response, so I hope my "improvements" get the same

One thing I altered quite massively is the drums, with fills and whatnot.

I do remember that some people found it a bit boring back whenI had it here first time. A thing to remember is that it is meant for a band, and would have lyrics over the top when played.

need variations, too self repeative. However solid metal song.. Add some finnish suomi perkele sound into it and it should be just fine.

Like I said, with vocals it's totally different.. you need to think of it as a complete song, not just a guitar..y guitar pro file

..and add some what now?

Even with vocals, the repitition is too much man. Srsly. One aspect will not suddenly turn a composition into a masterpiece if it is already flawed.

Any suggestions where to add any other riffs in then?

The verses lead into the chorus', via the pre-chorus' so I don't want any new parts in there. So whrere?

Variation man. I'm at work so this may not be 100% but my memory says that the verse is the same 1-2 bar pattern over and over again. Have it change every third/fourth bar to some different notes or rhythms. Add some harmonization in different spots, change things up. Just cause you have your set verse riff doesn't mean you can't change it up a little bit to make things more interesting.
