Requim Aeternam Deo
This is unfinished, I've got several more verses I'm working on, but they're more conceptual, and I don't know how far I want to go in this piece to be honest. 10 points for the first person to guess my inspiration. Yes, it is a song, not a poem like my usual writing.
We break down the pillars and crumble the alters that once held our glory so high out of reach The marching of progress and faltering silence as night closes in but we pierce it with speech say; "God is dead And we are the ones that killed him so rest your head on these collapsing buildings there's not much left here only omnipotence decomposing in this tomb we call a church"
