Youtube Embedding
Embedded videos always seem to make the pages load so slowly, and if there's a page with loads of them, the page is pretty much unusable.
There's meant to be an option to disable embedding, but it doesn't seem to work. With the option selected, pictures don't show up (they just appear as links), but youtube videos do. I've brought this up in the feedback thread in the Pit but it always seems to get swallowed up by other suggestions and overlooked. Hopefully someone will see it here and come up with a fix.

I've found that wrapping spoiler tags around the video can partly fix this, but hardly anybody does it out of common courtesy.

^maybe it could be fixed so that any embedding was automatically in spoilers.
but I don't know whether this would affect videos already posted. The current disable option only seems to disable embedding in your posts, so maybe that's a limitation of the forum software itself.
