Things are changing over at the site.
The Gil Parris sig has been discontinued, it seems.

And now, they've added a 24.75" HB/P90 guitar to the lineup:

And Brickhouse Music will apparently be selling a Manta Ray HB with RailHammers and a Bigsby:

Those three- the Airwave, the new Rick Vito and Corgan sigs- will add...what? $4500 to my guitar wish list?

I am planning on getting an amp this year, so I'm hoping these are not going to be limited editions. Unlike a lot of manufacturers, Reverend's LEs tend not to be replicated down the road, and they typically only make 50 of them, and if it's more than 50, they'll be distributed over several colors.

Of course, since the production models will be slightly different from the prototypes, I may have a little time to build my war chest...

I'm considering offering my 2015 American Strat Deluxe Plus in a trade for a Reverend from a local dealer.

Here are some of my options:
http://specialtytraders.com/product...ood-fingerboard

http://specialtytraders.com/product...ngerboard-senhb

http://specialtytraders.com/product...tural-hard-case

I'd need to play these first, as I don't think I've ever touched a Reverend up to this point. My main holdup is trading a higher end, USA-made guitar for and more mid-range import - I'm worried I might be trading down more than I want to.

Thoughts?

Reverends are great guitars. I actually just pulled the trigger on a Manta Ray 290. However, I would look at the used values of the guitars and not the new. I would venture to say that your strat will be of more value. Rest assured though that the playability and fit and finish of the reverend will be amazing.

Pretty much.

They're good players, but that Strat will probably retain more of its value over time, compared to those MiK Reverends. So if resale is key for you, the trade may not be worth it.

If you weren't going for a trade at a local store, I'd suggest you look for USA-made Reverends online. They tend to retain their value extremely well.

The shop carries USA G&L's too, so those will also be an option - mainly the ASAT models.

I'm in no rush to make a deal, though, so maybe I'll keep my eyes peeled for a USA Reverend.

If you are offering up your guitar for trade for a new guitar then you will take the loss. Unless the dealer has no clue what guitar he has, they are not going to take a hit. You would be better off selling your guitar and buying a used reverend or G&L if that is what you are after. I have never personally played a US Reverend, so I cannot attest to their quality. The MiK Reverends are stellar though.

Thought I'd take a family picture to show at the Reverend booth at the Dallas Guitar Show.

Very nice! Are you familiar with Italia? I feel like if you like Reverend's designs (and call me crazy but I am starting to get that impression) you might get on with their stuff:
show

...and those are just the ones normal enough to interest me

Yeah, I know Italia! I've been considering their Modilo- that's the Stratclone with the P90/S/S configuration.
