Thanks, I'm advertising it on CL for $450 and a couple guys are really interested. They want to check it out tonight. Should I sell it that cheap?? Scoured the internet again today and can't find another one like it. Any input would be great. Don't really need to sell it. I'm just trying to get back down to 12 guitars or less. Too much stuff I don't use,, |

I hav it on good authority (from Apocalype Now) that Charlie don't surf.
The question is, does Charlie play surf?

It might fit but has a different scale length, so intonation will be off.

Meh it's a tuneomatic bridge, im not really concerned about that. It should still string up to tune just fine.

I like the sound of Stratos, my top 2 guitar players use them (Hendrix and Gilmour), but, I can't get used to playing one. Got myself used to the higher bridge on LP models (Tune-o-matic style) and the knobs a bit farther fro mthe strings. The volume knob is always in my way when I'm trying to play a stratocaster.

i LOVE having the knob right there, my pinky fits right on it for volume swells/ultra quick volume adjustments. in fact that's actually a major requisition for me in a guitar, is having a volume knob close enough that i can get at it with my pinky while playing.

Yep. That's one thing that bugs me about my Carvin, the volume knob is just a hair farther from the bridge, so I have to stretch to reach it. Having it right there is perfect for controlling it on the fly.

My problem with it is that I'm used to laying my hand over the bridge, and when I do that on a strat I just end up hitting the volume knob accidentally and messing up the whole sound. |

I can understand that. But i learned to play on a strat so to me it's the most comfortable and ergonomic guitar i've ever played. nothing i've played since feels quite as good, so i've been gassing hardcore for one lately. american standard, HSS, Olympic white with a blue pearloid pickguard and maple neck/fretboard = *drool*

Sounds beautiful. The point is, probebly if I get a Strato I would suck a bit and the first monthes and then would start feeling comfortable with it. |

Hello folks! I thought i would post some pictures of my strat that i played over 8 years now. It has gone through several mods in those 8 years. The only thing thats is original is the body, neck and frets. The pickups in it is EVH frankenstein humbucker, Seymoure Duncan quarter pounder(soon to be texas special) and texas special in neck. The only thing i regret is scratching in ''Rip Dime'' in the paint on the back. I was young and stupid
