New CTS Pots - Is Something Missing?
I got 4 new push-push CTS Pots for my electric gutiar so that I could finally set my pickups Jimmy Page style.
However there seems to be a serious problem. The wiring diagram shows some kind of rectangle with 6 connections on each pot, but I see nothing of the sort on the pots that I have. Wiring Diagram: http://www.seymourduncan.com/suppor...ematic=jp_style My New CTS Pot: ![]() What can I do?

aw come on, are you serious? I had asked about that here months ago and it sounded like push push would have been fine. Did I really waste $40?

Why are these push-push pots anyway? If they can't even coil-split or anything then what's the point of the push.

I just looked up on allparts a push/push pot, and it is basically the same as the push pull, but it is push only. The pot you have is not a push/push, it is a standard pot.

Geez I think I screwed myself over. Looks like they do not push in. I bought them from a site called Axerus UK. I'm not even living in the UK but I thought it had the best price. It was actually $50 (probably not the best price actually).
I bought them 6 months ago. It took a while to get to me and then it took even more of a while for me to get new soldering tips. I would be really lucky to get a refund now ![]()

I wouldn't order from them a second time if I ordered push-push/pull pots and I got sent standard at the same price as the other. I do however hear good things about these guys http://www.allparts.com/search.asp?...yword=push+pull You'd end up paying another 40(total cost) for the bourns if you went with them, but they are of extremely high quality.

It looks like they sent you the wrong pot? A push push looks like this:

Alright I'm going to try and see if I can get a refund.
In the meantime, are these pots good? http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electro...01&xst=3&xsr=64 If so, long-shaft or not? They are push-pull but those are more common/lower priced it seems and it's not like I'm so pro that I need my push-push anyway haha.

Measure the shafts on the old ones to find out. I'd go with the bourns on allparts just because I know they are reputable.
