I know, just that after the miniseries I didn't want to believe you. I really wanted the show to be great.

Anyway, Rick and Morty, Moral Orel, Narcos, Sopranos, here I come.

Okay, saw Digging For Fire with a friend and we both have no idea what we just watched, but it's just not good.

Half of the movie's just basically incomplete conversations that have no beginning or end and se we get no context whatsoever. The other half is just... weird.

I don't know. It's safe to say I didn't get it, and it's safe to say I don't care, because I don't think it'd be worth it at all.

Incredibly enough, the film's cast's filled with well known people: Jake Johnson, Rosemarie DeWitt, Brie Larson, Sam Rockwell, Orlando Bloom, Anna Kendrick, Sam Elliott and Ron Livingston. I mean, wtf.

EDIT:
Quote:
Like Joe Swanberg's previous directed projects, most of the dialogue was improvised.
Okay, this explains a lot as to why the movie felt like it had nowhere to go.

Decided that I'd start looking into lesser known movies starring actors I like. Stumbled upon Starter For 10 with James McAvoy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dominic Cooper, and Alice Eve. I'm about halfway through it right now and I'm really impressed.

EDIT: It is upon noticing yet the fourth actor in this movie to play a Marvel character, (Rebecca Hall who plays Maya Hanson in Iron Man 3) that I realize that I basically only know actors because of comic book movies, and that I've only began growing a passion for movies in the last few years at all because of comic book movies.

The state of her career if this is true.

Parks and Rec seems like it has the things to make it funny, but it's just pretty meh. It isn't anything particularly special or original/new.

honestly, and I thought this before realising who the writers were, parks just felt like a 30 rock copy, but with flatter jokes. just didn't feel right

Watching Under The Red Hood. Under The Red Hood is the best Batman movie.

Terrible way to go. Hopefully he is happy with the legacy he left in the world.

Ali, I don't have time to go back and discuss your post point-by-point, but the New Caprica arc is my favourite part of BSG and I disagree with you totally that it leaves the themes and ambiguity of the first season behind. I think it goes even deeper into them, to be honest

Super sad about Wes Craven. He made the most interesting films in a golden age of horror, and then pretty much single-handedly revived the genre in the 1990's. Genuine legend.

I finished Exodus pt deux and it dips its toes into them with Baltar (and I could make a case for Kara), but deeper how? I saw the name of the next episode, 'Collaborators', and I just feel really disheartened now. I wanna dive deeper into the rabbit hole, not stop at a motel and watch a movie along the way. If it weren't for the Admiral giving that speech, I would've abandoned the show entirely.

Oh yeah, I just finished San Andreas. What a gloriously stupid movie. The only large scale disaster is yadda yadda you get the point. I had a lot of fun and it was probably the worst blockbuster I've seen this year.

ROCK ANGRY. ROCK SMASH TABLE. ROCK SMASH GLASS. ROCK SMAAAASH... ROCK NO GOOD AT MOUTH-TO-MOUTH.
