So, Dragonfire pickups? I was just turned onto these over the weekend. Seems they're comparable to GFS pickups in the "bang for your buck" range of pickups. I believe they actually might be made in the same factory, but I'm not certain about that.

Anyone have experience with these? In particular I'm looking at the Phat Strat set of singles. I wish I could see some technical specs on them, but they appear to be in the vein of Duncan Quarter Pounders and have somewhat of a P-90ish vibe to them.

I'm mainly in need of a bridge pickup for my MIM, and I'm fine with the stock singles in the guitar, but if the Dragonfire set suits my need for a bridge pickup and gives me an upgrade in the other two positions as well, then for $30 that's a steal.

There's a hole in my heart that can only be filled with the ST57 that got away.

Cool stuff.

I've had 2 ST57s so far. Sweet necks on 'em.

I've never really been all too fond of that particular shade of red on many Strats, but I must admit the aged pickups and knobs on that are a nice touch!

I love strats. I currently have a sunburst american standard with a maple neck, and i fitted a seymour duncan hum bucker to the bridge. The best one i had was a 78 american with a rosewood neck, was the business, unfortunately had to sell it years ago when money got tight for a while.

And thus is the nature of Strat ownership.

You officially have Strat blood when you can look years back and regret getting rid of one

I must be the most anti-typical Strat user ever. I play heavier rock and use single coils, non-noiseless at that. I also rarely trade or sell a guitar. In the 12 years I've been playing, I've owned 7 electrics and only two of them aren't in my possession any longer.

So I was on eBay looking for things like Vigiers and Blades, and found a couple of note:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/13115580178...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Then I noticed they were both being sold by the same guy. So I looked to se what else he had. Oh my...the seller has a taste for guitary things Japanese.
