Tommy Hunter lets a four-run lead become a two-run lead, brings the go-ahead run to the plate, and barely avoids blowing the lead for the second time in two appearances.

This is after failing so resolutely as the closer last year that he didn't even appear as a setup man for months.

WHY IS HE STILL HERE

Bartolo Colon has a higher batting average than Bryant. What a bum.

That's it, total bust. The cubs should see if they can package him with Baez for Sam Fuld or something.

>Pitcher with notorious control problems, yet has a no-hitter going
>Notorious control problems show up and he hits a single batter
>Ejected within seconds of hitting that batter in spite of never being warned
>Home team ties the game against the replacement pitcher

Fuck this shit

Also holy crap I am defending Ubaldo

What is happening

And of course the Red Sox win.

By one run.

No-warning ejections in a rival team's ballpark are totally cool.

Catcher was set up inside and off the plate too. 1-run game, power hitter on deck, notoriously wild pitcher, catcher set up inside...very little chance that was intentional.

Bartolo Colon now has as many wins as your entire team.

The Giants had four hits last night. Josh Collmenter AKA opposing pitcher Josh Collmenter had three.

I think it's bad enough that Josh Collmenter of all people threw a 4-hit CG shutout, but 3-5 at the plate as well?

EDIT: Did anyone here bring up this catch from earlier this week? If not, that might be the best catch we see all year.

Hey iro, ROY deGrom tonight and Harvey tomorrow. Have fun!

EDIT: It's so nice to have some optimism about the Mets for a change.
EDIT 2: Also, Kris Bryant went 2-3 today with 3 walks.

I was hoping Bryant wouldn't get a hit for like 3 more games just for the lels.

I've only watched one game this year, unfortunately. I finish grad school on Wednesday, so these last few weeks have been hell. After that, I'll be able to watch the Marlins disappoint me all the time!

Really, we're going nowhere with our two best pitchers on the DL. Once Alvarez and Fernandez come back, we should be okay. If that takes too long, though, it will be too late. :ike /

Also, if the Marlins don't contend this year I would love to see the Mets do so. I actually like you guys, I feel like we've established a kinship through mediocrity over the last decade.

Watch him go 0 for his next 30 and Cubs fans collectively lose their minds

The Alvarez injury hurts. Obviously you knew Fernandez would be out for a good chunk of this season, but at least Alvarez would have been able to hold down the fort for a little while...hopefully it's nothing serious.

Right back at you Marlins have a lot of young talent that should lead to some good years ahead.

Electrical engineering. I enjoy the material and all, but at this point I'm just ready to finish school and get out lol.

Looks like you guys are going to win this one, but I'm just glad that Latos pitched decently and we're still fighting. Dee Gordon has been playing out of his mind, he's batting .388 this season!
