So technically it's not a New Gear Day so to speak, considering I've had the guitar for two days, but today was the day I really spent some time with it. No teasers, just business...

Also got this little guy for Christmas, you can play anything and it sounds like you know what you're doing!


So I got it for Christmas as a surprise, and surprisingly, the lead circuit didn't work.

For those of you who are not aware, the original Jag had separate rhythm and lead circuits. The Lead can incorporate both pickups, the rythym is just the neck. When the rhythm circuit is off, the lead should play, and when the rhythm is turned on, it bypasses the lead.

But the first one I got just didn't play anything when the rhythm circuit was turned off. So, I sent it back, blah blah blah, now I love it.

It plays quite well for the price, and sounds amazing for the price. The trem is kind of annoying, seeing that it eventually becomes loose and just dangles until you push it back in. The finish is gorgeous, with just one blemish on the back, a dark spot (orange peel?) the size of a pencil tip. I probably would never have seen it had I not inspected it. But other than that, it has a slight metallic sparkle which you can only really see in person. I love the versatility that comes from the strange circuit system. Overall, very nice guitar, and for the price, it cant be beat.

It sounds great! Better than my humbucker guitars, actually. Really nails that Jack White sound. I've been playing Little Cream Soda a lot, it's just an awesome combination (Jag+Big Muff).
