On an unrelated not, I tried the desktop version of positive grid's bias.

Pretty nice looking, lotsa funny features and stuff, but the sound really is nothing special.
The competition can still suck softube's enormous penis if ya ask me.

Was just about to post about BIAS. Interested in trying it. Like the fact that it has an amp match feature without needed to buy a Kemper though.

http://www.positivegrid.com/bias-desktop/

Ola England video on it made it sound pretty legit.

Eh, it's just EQ matching. Not the same as the Kemper

If you have Ozone, Fab Filter Pro-Q 2, Axis Match EQ, etc, you can already do this.

Just got a song from a Russian group to mix. One of the drum tracks is labelled 'Rum'. I knew Russians liked their alcohol, but I always thought vodka was the stereotype

I am getting a recording PC set up for my buddy. I am going to sell him a mother board and processor that will be more than enough to handle anything he will throw at it, but I had a question about the RAM. How much is enough and what speeds should I get him? Currently I have 8gb of 1600mhz picked out for him since that is what I already have. Will this be more than enough and fast enough?

Should be, as long as he's not gonna be one of those guys who tries to run like 500 plugins at once.

Mix-wise or songwriting-wise? Because I will admit they are very well mixed. I can't stand how the songs are written though.
