Sierra guitars - SD65

Hello UG!

Now it's time for me to buy an acoustic, after years of playing metal and hardcore on my electric. As you can tell, it's very much of a change for me and I am (very) clueless when it comes to acoustics. The only thing I am quite sure of is that I want a steel string. Sure, I would like to play a lot of folk/finger-picking aswell, but I guess that works well with a steel string too.

I went to my local music store and found, among dozens of shitty Ibanezes (sorry if I offend anyone!), a Sierra SD65 that I really liked. Mahogany wood and a very deep sound, which is something I really like. A little like nylon, but on a steel string guitar. Now; has anyone got any experience of Sierra guitars? Perhaps the SD65? Would it be a beginner mistake to buy it?

As always, thanks in advance, UG!
