Talking about Macabre got me thinking, does anyone have any other recs for preferably full albums that sound like their song Dog Guts? That song is some of the most disgusting, violent, psychotic stuff I've ever heard. The rest of the album is great but isn't like that song.

Gorerotted - Only Tools and Corpses/Mutilated in Minutes
Macabre - Grim Reality/Sinister Slaughter (obviously)
Dr. Shrinker - Wedding the Grotesque
Blood - Impulse to Destroy
O.L.D. - Old Lady Drivers

Just went off of the "disgusting, violent, psychotic stuff" lead.

I love Blood and Nuclear Death. I'd say both fit the bill really well, so I'll check out the rest. Thanks

I take it you are a Hawkwind fan? If not then you need Warrior at the Edge of Time.

I personally say to just delve into the various contemporary progressive rock artists from their general area.

I'm looking for some awesome metal that will make me want to scream "Freedom" while waving a battle-axe and running down a hillside wearing nothing but blue face paint and a kilt.
Basically, I'm looking for more music in the vein of Amon Amarth, Primordial, Tyr, Heidevolk, and Falkenbach. You can be as obvious or obscure as you'd like.
Thanks!

I love Windir; I haven't listened to anything by the others yet though! Thanks!

I'm not even sure if something similar is existing but:
Basicly I'm looking for some albums/bands similar to old Tristania(Widow's weeds), early Sirenia(At Sixes and sevens) or old Theatre of Tragedy(Velvet darkness they fear/selftitled).
So basicly "true"(I already know i shouldnt have used that term) gothic metal with a good mix of clear vocals and growls. I'm neither looking for Symphonic Metal bands like Nightwish, Epica nor am i looking for Black Metal.

More or less similar albums/bands I already know:
Lake of Tears
Paradise Lost
Within Temptation
The sins of thy beloved
Tiamat
To/die/for
Draconian

Maybe someone can help me here...

Thanks a lot in advance for any Recommendation!
