Well if you really want to actually give it a shot sometime in the future, I'll PM my number and what not. There is a decent enough back catalog of songs done you wouldn't need to really write if you aren't ready anyway.

We were thinking about covering Hair Trigger for fun as well.

I'll think about it in the future. To much stuff going on right now though. :/

I'm no where near the level to play Hair-Trigger at the moment though.

Ah okay. No problem.

haha And if it's any consolation, Turn Soonest To the Sea was option two

Drummer - Very talented, but started getting into drugs. I mean, we all smoked pot, but he started getting into hallucinogens, molly, etc.
Bassist - Quiet kid. His image didn't really fit us. We were playing 80's rock/metal and he was more emo. Often played out of key.
Rhythm Guitarist - WORSHIPED Dimebag. Had all the exact same equipment Dime used, or so he and his brother told me. Wasn't nearly experienced enough to play in a band and was insanely moody. We wouldn't have practice sometimes just because he didn't feel like it.

None of us knew any theory, we didn't write any songs and we never played a gig. We were going to do the battle of the bands at our high school. We even had the three songs picked out (Enter Sandman, Caught In A Mosh, Symphony of Destruction) and practiced them at least once a week.

One week before the show, however, the Rhythm guitarist decides we're going to do a totally different second song (Cemetery Gates) and that he was going to do the solos. The drummer, for whatever reason, had his back. I, seeing that there was no way we could perfect the song in a month let alone a week, just left.

That describes me perfectly in the band I was in

Aside from that, we just solved the problem of a guitarist that doesn't have any interest in being in a band whatsoever, and slowed our progress down as a result. As a matter of fact, in a half hour or so, we're having an audition so to speak with a possible replacement.

What the hell was he doing on the street during a set? Too funny though

I notice you didn't highlight the "often played out of key" part.

The first band I was ever in, I sang and played lead guitar and then the "drummer" (who couldn't really drum for shit) decided he wanted to stop drumming and be the singer. I quit straight after coz I wasn't going to go through any band drama. I heard they got another singer (the drummer still had to resort to learning to play drums lol) and broke up soon after

I'm sorry.
I just couldn't make it past the intro with all the band members standing facing the drums before turning it off out of shame.
