Huh... That's a pretty commonly mentioned album around here. Thought I had listened to it before but maybe not. Oh well, thanks.

I don't care how generic or obvious it is, Blood Fire Death

ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES

Nothing captures the surge of adrenaline of pagan warriors antebellum quite so beautifully. To sail into battle, to destroy the Christian oppressors, to die for glory.

FOR VALHALLA

Blood Fire Death is one of the sweetest pieces of sound put together.

USCENDONE, you will find Ruins of Beverast's 'Foulest Semen Of A Sheltered Elite' quite satisfying. The quality of music stands up to the wackiness of the name.

I've been on an Inquisition binge lately. Obscure Verses For the Multiverse is a modern 'classic' sounding album. Love how Dagon is the second coming of Abbath.

I really like The Falls of Rauros. They were one of the first bands when I went through my atmospheric black metal stage, bands like Drudkh, Fen, Walknut, Dormant etc... were all played highly. The Falls of Rauros were pretty cool but I think I prefer their newest compared to their earlier stuff.

One of my favorites. Their newest is their best thus far though.

Getting some top recommendations from recent posts, cheers all.

Anyone into Dodsferd? I'm listening to Cursing Your Will to Live currently and I think it's decent.

There was a new Ephemer demo/ep out last year that I missed. Just listening to it now and I'm liking it a lot. As with the previous release it's got a bit in common with both Bathory and Forteresse musically. Really nice energy, soaring anthemic motifs, and a nice atmosphere.

So I just heard this song:

I mostly like the scream at the beginning and the last 90 seconds, give or take.
