Phasers
Ok, so here's the quick rundown:
I am doing some upgrades to my pedal board, and in doing so I am looking to add a phaser to my board. I have done some looking at various phasers, and am not sold on anything quite yet. I am leaning towards a couple in particular, but nothing is set in stone. What phasers would you all recommend that I check out? Preferably under $150. Basically I am going to use it to 1. Add depth and tonal variety to a solo 2. Use to deepen some chords 3. Play Van Halen Those are the only requirements! Thanks for any input! -Evan

Pretty much, especially for EVH tones its going to be the best bet... Joyo vintage phase is a sweet little pedal for the price (I believe its a standard phase 90 clone). |

homebrew psilocybe. it has a regen knob that you can use to help it poke out more at slower speeds.
or if you want cheaper, look around for a MIJ boss PH-1r. they're great. only thing is it has a bit of a volume boost.

Ok. I appreciate the responses.
I have heard that the EVH Phase 90 and the Script with LED from MXR are pretty much the same phaser. Any more infor on that?

the script is subtler and 'sweeter' than the block which has more presence. i had a script 90 clone before, the retrosonic phaser. however at slower speeds, it tended to disappear when playing into a mix. hence me going for phasers with a regen knob.

take a look at the Deltalab Phaser. it has far more control than Phase 90 style pedals. you have to work at it to set it to sound like a P90 but it can be done and gives you far more sound options.
