That makes no sense.

If 24.75 is considered "short scale" then that has to apply towards every guitar scale regardless of who makes it.

1969 Fender Mustang Competition

Bought around 1980 for $200 from a friend because he stopped playing.

I have a 1994 CIJ '66 reissue Fender Jaguar in white. Pictures are in my profile. It's aged wonderfully and now is more creamy/beige than white. I didn't know this thread existed!

Jaguar users (specifically japanese jaguar users): What pickups do you have in your guitars? The stock pickups on my Jag aren't bad, but I think they could use an improvement; rolling off my volume knob doesn't do much, and they're a tad undefined with distortion. My amp's up pretty loud (channel volume at 6 or 7, Master at 3 - 4) so it's not settings. I was thinking of getting some Curtis Novak Jaguar pickups; good idea?

If most of these Fenders are short-scale, then Les Pauls are friggin short scale. Their necks are just like strats or maybe slightly shorter.

Since when were Les Pauls 24"?

No one's posted a Cyclone yet.

I mean like the 25.75 ones or whatever. I just know that all the Fender "obscure" models I've played were longer than any Les Paul I've played.

edit: Ok, Les Pauls are 24.75 and those short Fenders are 24.75. Not much of a difference at all. Also the Jazzmaster is the same as a strat or tele.

Then try a Mustang, Jaguar, Duo Sonic, Jagstang, Toronado, Cyclone or Bronco, they're all shorter then standard Fender 25.5" scale.

A Strat is as much longer than a Les Paul as a Les Paul is longer than a Mustang.

If I played a Jaguar, I'd certainly try to.
